Escallonia Iveyi

Escallonia Iveyi is an evergreen bush fast growing , sun loving with an abundant scented blooming in Summer.

The bush can reach 2 mt of height with an erect habit and it grows wide 1/1.5 mt. The oval leaves are dark green but can turn to bronze color in colder climates. The plant can resist to -15°C once established.

The summer blooming shows white fragrant flowers, similar to cups, very attractive for bees, birds and butterflies.

It is a good plant to create hedges borders or screening; it prefers sun but it is suitable even in partial shade areas.

Escallonia Iveyi needs a fertile and well-drained soil, never dried and rich in humus. It requires few water once established.

The cultivation of Escallonia Iveyi is ideal in pots; propagation by cuttings.
