Cercis Siliquastrum or Judas trees is native to Western Asia and Southern Europe.
It is a plant known for the amazing deep pink of fragrant flowers in Spring but an unusual and very appreciated variant is Cercis Siliquastrum with white flowers.
A peculiarity is that in mediterranean gardens is one of the first species to bloom , early Spring but first blooms and then produces leaves.
The natural shape is big bushes or tree can reach even height 8 mt sun, spacing 6 mt and because of its drought- tolerance, it is very useful in xeriscaping.
Cercis has a good resistance to cold climate, hardiness zone 5-9.
