Erodium x variabile is a perennial groundcover originating from the Balearic Islands.
Commonly known as ‘Stork’s bill’, it has dark grey-green oval leaves and bowl-shaped 5-petalled flowers that can range in colours from pink, purple, red, white and yellow.
Blooming in spring through fall (May-September), this plant grows up to 12 cm tall, and can spread to around 60 cm.
Erodium x Variabile thrives in well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil, under full sun exposure, needing only moderate to occasional watering.
Being very hardy, it can tolerate temperatures down to -18°C.
