Ixora Coccinea

Ixora Coccinea is a tropical shrub native from South America.
The plant has very shining red flowers and the blooming starts in Spring and ends in late Autumn.

Ixora coccinea needs hot climate and humidity, sunny places but even partial shade.

If you have to make shrubs or hedges in dry areas, the plant is suitable for xeriscaping because it is very drought-tolerant.
